From April 23 to 25, the 1st International Specialized Exhibition of Decorative and Applied Art “Golden Hands of Masters” took place in the “Soborna” gallery. Companies involved in the production and distribution of handicraft products were presented at the exhibition. As part of the exhibition-fair, expositions of author’s works made in various techniques were presented. Visitors were delighted by collections of ceramics, pottery, jewelry, accessories and interior items made of horn, wood, souvenirs made of colored glass, embroidered paintings and other interior items and clothes decorated with batik. Craftsmen from Ivano-Frankivsk presented a huge assortment of embroidered fabrics that could satisfy the demands of the most demanding buyers.
An interesting entertainment program awaited all visitors and participants during the exhibition: a show-defile of collections of knitted products, evening and everyday beaded jewelry of contest finalists, performances by dance groups, fashion theater “Chornomorochka” of secondary school No. 8 MORF from Sevastopol under the direction of Sild L. O. and “Bereginia” studio from Kursk under the leadership of Olena Albertivna Rastorotska.
A gift from “Fashion Journa” to all participants of the exhibition was a performance by the People’s Dance Theater “Renaissance” of the Central House of Veterans of Kyiv, led by Lyudmila Fedorivna Grigorieva. It was a real explosion of emotions, beauty and skill.
During the exhibition, the editorial staff of the magazine organized master classes: “Art-batik. Free fabric painting with acrylic paints” by Olena Vetrova, “Beading. Making braided beads” by Hanna Bystryk, “Embroidery with ribbons” and “Quilling. Do-it-yourself photo frame” by Tatyana Popova. The “Felting” master class was organized and conducted by representatives of the “Magic Chest” online store.
As part of the exhibition, the final of the competition among knitting and beadwork masters was held.
Spectators and judges found themselves in the center of incredible events, where very young and professional designers demonstrated their skill and talent in works made especially for the competition. The members of the jury faced a very difficult task: to determine the best of the best. The jury included experienced masters of capital letters, who themselves were repeatedly winners of various international competitions and experienced firsthand what it means to be the best of the best and how difficult it is to carry the title of winner, so they easily coped with the task. Not only that, the members of the jury demonstrated their outstanding works.
According to the results of the national “Viche”, the work of Iryna Slobodianyk from Kiev will go to the competition in the USA. Voting took place simply during the exhibition. We issued ballots for voting and then invited three visitors to the exhibition to count the votes and immediately announced their verdict.
The international specialized exhibition of decorative and applied arts “Golden Hands of Masters” is an unparalleled platform for the exchange of experience, information, and ideas between experienced masters and novices of decorative and applied arts and design, where an atmosphere of friendliness, mutual understanding and creativity prevailed.
